My baby-girl is growing up :-)

The birtday-girl to the left.
Gunhild celebrated her 16th birtday by attending a football match for her team Gjøvik FK.

She made a really hat-trick and scored four goals during the match. Clever girl!!!
It was very warm weather, so the girls were tired after the game.
Gunhild is always in a very good mood, but on midsummereve she had every reasons to grin.
Happy birtday-girl!!

Her birtdaycake. A layercake with strawberries, vanilla custard and of course whipped cream. Mmmmmmmmm!!!

17th of May and visit of my soldier :-)

Synnøve ready to travel back to her duty as a medical soldier in the north of Norway.
Look at my spiraea, it is fantastic in the spring.

Beautiful girl :-)

She is very charming and have a winning way to be. Take care, Synnøve.

My youngest one; Gunhild. This picture is taken after she carried the banner for the local athletic association. She is wearing her national costume from Nordland. She is not born in North of Norway, but I am. So all of my three girls have the same national dresses.
Isn't she lovely?

A peek of Gunhild and I when we marched through the local city.

I made a new banner for Raufoss Idrettslag to our celebration of 17th of May. The old one was worn out and the banner was heavy to carry.
I'm a little content with the result :-)
I have been a board member of Raufoss Idrettslag nearly since we moved to Raufoss 18 years ago....., so it means a great deal for me.

National championship

My athletic club is organizer of Nasional Championship for skijump and Nordic combined. So my hometown; Raufoss, is put into action this week :-)
Tor Berge, the leader of the main committee.
My husbond Roger. He has been busy as spokesman for the event.
The leader of the local mall, the mayor of Vestre Toten council Stein Knutsen and Tor Berge. The mayor saw through a skijumper-ski as a fun opening."Every Norwegian are born wearing skis" is an old saying.....
One of the shops at the local mall had decorated their windows with posters, old skis and the outfit for the volunteers.
An old backpack, knitted hat and stockings.
Banners where hang from the ceiling. Well done Raufoss Handelssenter!

Back from OpplandsPokalen

Do you remember these dolls? Kristin and Haakon were the official mascots during the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer in 1994. They are placed outside of Haakonshall in Lillehammer.
Inside the hall the globe with the symbolic dove stands.
...and the polar bear :-)
The globe again.
Late saturday evening outside the hall. It snowed and snowed....
I stayed at Torills house when I were in Lillehammer. She has started to quilt and she has made these lovely tablerunners :-)
You can have a foreboding of spring by watching these runners.
Close-up.
Over 400 gymnasts participated in OpplandsPokalen.
The speaker Finn Helge. I had responsibility for the music and the sound in the hall during the competition-days. You can see some of the CD's; 140 on Saturday and 90 on Sunday.

Winter, winter, winter....

You get a little springfeeling when you see these flowers :-)
Last Thursday. Very cold but beautiful weather.
After job I drove to Hamar to attend a meeting with the norwegian athletic federation. Look at this perfect winter-idyll.

On Friday Gunhild, Roger and I went to Notodden. Roger had his birthday; 50 years old (or young) and Gunhild was qualified to skijump for the Norwegian National Team.
Tom-Arne; her gentle coach.
Log of wood covered with ice-crystals.
Ceremony for the top 6 athletics stars. Daniela Iraschko(AUT) the winner, Anette Sagen (NOR) second best, Lindsey Van (USA) third, Ulrike Graessler (GER) fourth, Izumi Yamada (JPN) fifth and Jacqueline Seifriedberger (AUT) became sixth. Gunhild ended on 24th place on Friday and 23th on Saturday. Not bad at all!!
Gunhild in action.
Line and Helena; beautiful girls :-)
The train-station in Eina.
Cream puff-cakes. I made these for Roger on his 30th, 35th and 40th birtdays, so I wanted to make these as well to his 50th birtday. Since we were away, I made them on Sunday :-)

National championship skijumping for women 2009

Beautiful winterpictures.

My youngest daughter, Gunhild, jumped 59 and 58 metres in the competition. Her landing isn't very good, so her points are not the very best. I'm very proud of her and her achievements :-)
She finished 7th in the 65metres hill.
Close-up of Gunhild.
Gunhild and her skijumper-friend Linda.
Not unexpected winner; Annette Sagen :-)

Gunhild and Synne are making fun of me :-)
On the rostrum from left to right; Line Jahr, Annette Sagen and Maren Lundeby.
Annette came out on top, again....
Line, Annette and Maren :-)
