"Chicken me"
Sindy met a challenge to create a chicken block that would represent themselves. Of course she had to share hers with us! Her chicken fell asleep at her computer while playing around with Electric Quilt.
Funny result I think! Thank you for sharing, Sindy :-)

 "Pink Warrior"
Sindy also made this pattern for Breast Cancer Awareness. This years theme "Pink Warrior" prickled her imagination perfectly!!!
Thank you Sindy from a PINK LADY :-)

Last Saturday I made a trip to Fabrikkutsalget

While everybody went to the annual meeting in Norwegian Quilters Association, I went to Brumunddal to attend a meeting in motorsport. Therefore I got a flimsy excuse to visit Fabrikkutsalget again :-)
The shop were nearly emptied by models; they were shipped down to the annual meeting as well. But these two pillows were left behind.....
And a Tilda-doll.
An Easter-bunny; not sewn, but sweet anyway :-)
A colorful purse.
Close-up picture of the stitchery. You can see still more pictures if you visit Gjøvik Quiltelags blog here
Have a nice weekend. Take care!

Visit to Kari Renolen's shop in Moelven

In the crazy quilt of life, I'm glad you're in my block of friends; Kari.
Kari has moved to new locations in Moelven. She had the store in another part of Moelven, but it was not easy to find and was pretty cramped inside. Her new store is about three times bigger, and has also a workshop space for classes.
I was lucky enough to visit her the other day, and the store is amazing. Everything is so well laid out, and there’s so much more space to display all her models and quilts.
"Our lives are like quilts - bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love."

"Quilts are like friends - a great source of comfort."
Enjoy the pictures taken in her shop!
Kari is busy cutting fabrics to ME of course!
This weekend-bag has she designed! Clever girl!!!!
Fabrics, fabrics, fabrics! Beautifully displayed!
Table mat shaped like a heart; a really good idea!
Houses and flowers made by the earlier owner.
Springfeeling tablerunner.
These zipper-bags are sewn after pattern made by Kari.
Quilters never cut corners..... And under the roof these bags were hang up.
The wall over her cutting-table.
"Quilting with a friend will keep you in stitches."
Congratulations Kari.
You have done a magnificent job.
May every success come your way!

"May your sorrows be patched and your joys quilted."
Take care!

Beautiful quiltpoem from Sue Mullane :-)

Little bits of fabric sewn into a quilt
Form a warm and loving blanket
from which memories are built.
And when you seek peace and comfort
in the quiet of the night.
It will keep you warm and snug
until the morning's light.

Written by Sue Mullane of Albuquerque, New Mexico for her grandchild.
It was published in the December 1996 issue of Quilters Newsletter.
