Is this appropriate for you as it is for me....?

I just received this from a friend and wanted to share it with you.

Twas the night before Christmas,
I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa
brought just for me..
Could it be fat quarters
or a pattern or lace?
Or a quilt kit, I said,
with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa," I said
"You know....good little girls
should be in their beds ".
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've been caught.
But I was just so excited
to see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough stuff, I'll see you next year!"

Merry Christmas to all of my friends

Today is Christmas Eve and in Norway we celebrate this evening. All of our girls are home for Christmas and we are going to enjoy a good dinner, eachothers company and every minute of our holiday. I always enjoy the sight of Christmastree and the snow outside our house. I have a special reason to celebrate tonight; It's been two years since I finished my cancer treatment. My last radiation treatment took place on Christmas morning 2007...... So I sending a special wish to all "pink" ladies out there; All the best wishes for you and your families. And to all of my readers; Happy Christmas to you all!

I'm sorry

I have to postpone my giveaway because I injured my knee last week. This happened during my gymnastics club's Christmas show...... I'm a gymnastics coach for the youngest one in the club. So it is difficult for me hopping around in the house.
Tomorrow we are leaving for a short trip to Dublin. I'm lucky to know Ruth;- she has lent me her wheelchair. So this coming Friday I will post pictures of the gifts and the name of the winners.
Until then; take care!

Blog anniversary today;-great giveaway today

Happy blog anniversary to me!
And congratulation to Barack Obama!
With all the time and effort I place into my blog and my guilds blog, it's often easy to lose track of time.
This year’s selection of the Nobel Peace Price started an online outcry the second it was announced. For many people, including the recipient himself, is was a shock that hear that president Barack Obama was awarded. And Norwegians were among those who reacted most strongly against the decision from the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Not because Norwegians dislike or disapprove of Obama, rather opposite. But awarding him the Nobel Prize after just 10 months in office have been hard to swallow, even for Norwegians.
Tomorrow I will announce who the three lucky winners are......

Synnøve's back from Bali and my sister Anne visited us this weekend :-)

Synnøve. She has cut her loooooong hair short. No matter how long her hair is, she looks marvellous anyway. Good to have her save back!

Saturday night meal.

My youngest daughter Gunhild and my dear sister. Look at my Adventstar in the window, I love this. It looks swell from outside too.

This second Advent Sunday we went for a walk through the woods in my neighbourhood. We are four siblings living in each part of the country. It is very cozy when we meet. Thanks for visiting us, Anne.

Meeting in Vestre Toten Lappelag last Thursday

I tried to catch the suggestive atmosphere in our Advent-meeting by not using the camera's flashlight. Ruth served a lovely crabsticks and shrimps in aspic and homemade bread.

Astrid bought a kit for a tablerunner from Kari Renolen when Gjøvik Quiltelag visited her shop last month.

Close-up of one of the two runners she managed to make from one kit :-)

The second tablerunner. It is going to be really swell!

Torunn with her Christmas-tablecloth. Pattern from AnnAKa.Lovely!

Winni with her hexagon-quilt. Beautiful colors.

Close-up of Winni's quilt.

Ruth is stitching as usual....

Torunn with her stitchery. The girl is a famous motiv from Carl Larsson. I think she is going to frame the stitchery with some patchwork. I'm impressed over you ladies!!!!
