Free BOS from Ellie's Quiltplace

How does it work?
Every season you can download a new pattern and, if necessary, further information: 
- June 21: releasing the first block. You'll get the pattern, a list of requirements and instructions on how to make the stitcheries. 
See picture below......
- September 23: the second block will be released together with the instructions for the corner blocks
- 3 months later, December 21, the 3th block will be released together with instructions for making the patchwork blocks
- And finally, March 21, the 4th pattern will be released as well as the final instructions to assemble the quilt.

My cat Mira got her first kitten on Friday, so I think I will make this catquilt for her :-) Mjaaauuuuu.....

Beautiful BOM from FatCat Patterns


Sindy makes wonderful pattern for all of us who simply loves making quilts.
And they are free to use :-)
This BOM is called Chocolate Stars and it is updated on the first of each month.
It will run from August 1, 2009  until October 1, 2010.

On the first, new blocks are added. Blocks for this series will remain available for the duration.
Finished size as shown is 60x72 inches.

Online Block of The Month


Heather Finnell in Burning The Midnight Oil Quilts will put up a free block of the month quilt.  You will be able to download the new block every month for free. The free block is available from the 15th of the month to the 14th of the next month when the new one will go up. If you miss any of the months you can purchase the blocks you missed for a nominal price. Fabric Requirements will be up November 15th 2009. Isn't this quilt lovely?

Come Over to My House; free BOM from Forever Green Quilts

Forever Green Quilts is offering a free block of the month quilt in 2009!
This cute house quilt is called "Come Over to My House" and was designed by Alecia Hunter with instructions by Joanna Norman. It is a wall-hanging sized quilting, measuring 40" x 46".
They will offer one block each month in Jan-Dec 2009. In December 2009, they will also provide instructions for finishing the quilt. Each new block will be posted on the 15th of the month and will be available for 2 months. If you miss a block during the 2 month window that it is available for free, you can purchase it for a small fee. So go to this site to download block 1 and 2
