Jippy, I've got mail............

This parcel waited for me the other day when I came home from work :-)

The contents of the gift from Elly. A while ago I posted a comment on Inklingo's website and I won this project-kit from Elly. Usually I NEVER win, but it is a saying that say "if you are lucky in games, you don't win in love....."
I will rather say "nothing ventured, nothing gained"

Some of the fabrics with inked pattern. I like the colors and the project looks exciting.

A stunning card from Elly in Scotland. She hoped I will enjoy making this project and trying out Inklingo. She will get a picture from me when I have finished the project. And you blogreaders to.....
Have a really nice Whitsun!
We are going to visit Ruth (my quilting friend) and Armann in their cottage in the mountains. We have warm and beautiful sunny weather, so it is going to be marvellous I think.

17th of May and visit of my soldier :-)

Synnøve ready to travel back to her duty as a medical soldier in the north of Norway.
Look at my spiraea, it is fantastic in the spring.

Beautiful girl :-)

She is very charming and have a winning way to be. Take care, Synnøve.

My youngest one; Gunhild. This picture is taken after she carried the banner for the local athletic association. She is wearing her national costume from Nordland. She is not born in North of Norway, but I am. So all of my three girls have the same national dresses.
Isn't she lovely?

A peek of Gunhild and I when we marched through the local city.

I made a new banner for Raufoss Idrettslag to our celebration of 17th of May. The old one was worn out and the banner was heavy to carry.
I'm a little content with the result :-)
I have been a board member of Raufoss Idrettslag nearly since we moved to Raufoss 18 years ago....., so it means a great deal for me.

Uugrrrrr. I'm trying to tidy up my house...... :-(

I would rather be sewing........................ , but my home is in a mess.
But while I tidy up my basement sitting-room (it is also my sewing room...), I find several sewing related objects here and there. Is it me or my cat? Because my husbond and my children NEVER touch or replace my stuff......
I just wonder. Hmmmmm.

That's why I'm gaining weight.....

FREEBIE Sue All Year Around

Suggestion for framing the "Sue All Year Around".

Have a nice Friday-night!!!
Take care from

My disappearing 9-patch-tablerunner no 1 is nearly finished

When I found my fabric for the back, I discovered somebody had used it for a spooky garment.... Two eyes-similar holes were cut out of the fabric, so I had to add a strip of blue to make the remaining fabric long enough.
Close-up of my freemotion quilting (backside). Since all fabrics used in the tablerunner have a coffee-theme, I quilted waves that should symbolize heat steam from coffeecups :-)

The first tablerunner cut and quilted.

Close-up quilting on front. I used a multicolored thread from Sømsenteret in Gjøvik and it is called Poly Sheen Multi from Mettler.

Close-up of the borders around the disappearing 9-patch-blocks. Since I quilted a lot of heat-waves in the middel I chose to make the quilting around a little more stiff. Saw-toothed pattern is fun and decorative I think.

HAPPY BIRTDAY TO YOU, MUM!!!

It's my mother's birtday today. I wish I could be in Lofoten with her today. But travelling by plane in Norway is expensive..... So I have been sewing the whole day long :-)
I will show you later on.

Summerly tea towel with strawberries stitched.
The stitchery pattern is free for YOU at Bird Brain Designs website. Go there and download it. Cute summer present for a friend or just for yourself :-)

White flowers in my kitchen and my garden :-)

Two beautiful white callas have given me a great pleasure and joy last week. They were over one metre high and placed in a glassvase with high walls at the end of my kitchentable.

Innumerable wood anemones in my garden. Aren't they lovely?
