Giggle Club Newsletter

Morning has broken...........
View from my bedroom veranda at 7 o'clock in the morning. Beautiful icicles!!
My husbond got these on his 50th birtday on the 13th of February and they are still blooming.
In Norway we have a saying; "if flowers live long; they were given by a sincere heart".
Jippy; my Giggle Club Newsletter and Project came a few days ago :-)I borrow a picture of the new project from Giggle Buttons Blog.
I'm looking forward to start on this stitchery :-)

Meeting in Vestre Toten Lappelag last Thursday.

Lene is planning to attend an exhibition in France this fall. Various fabrics of silk and Angelina is used in this fantastic quilt.
Close-up. Notice the quiltinglines!
At the back of the quilt you can really see the quiltinglines.
Lene with her quilt.
Flower close-up.
Wenke with one of her two new bags.
The other one.
Lene had to do some handsewing. She doesn't like to sew this.....
Ruth is stitching "Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes". The plain truth!
I have recived my two first BOM from Kathrines Quiltestue. During our meeting I managed to draw the stitchery-pattern for one of them.

Last months buyings.....

Some fabrics, handbag-handles (straight), yarns and rubbing plates from Sømsenteret in Gjøvik. Ribbons, buttons and one little piece of fabric bought in Notodden. One textile also bought on our girls night out on Lillehammer LappeLag (split with Lise :-))
Beautiful colors and fabrics bought in Sømsenteret in Gjøvik. The silk-thread is perfect to quilting seams.
New is the thin batting made of wool; I think it will apare well in stitchey....

Back from OpplandsPokalen

Do you remember these dolls? Kristin and Haakon were the official mascots during the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer in 1994. They are placed outside of Haakonshall in Lillehammer.
Inside the hall the globe with the symbolic dove stands.
...and the polar bear :-)
The globe again.
Late saturday evening outside the hall. It snowed and snowed....
I stayed at Torills house when I were in Lillehammer. She has started to quilt and she has made these lovely tablerunners :-)
You can have a foreboding of spring by watching these runners.
Close-up.
Over 400 gymnasts participated in OpplandsPokalen.
The speaker Finn Helge. I had responsibility for the music and the sound in the hall during the competition-days. You can see some of the CD's; 140 on Saturday and 90 on Sunday.

Drawings from Amos

Quilting pictures from Rockledge, Florida

The Quilt Place in Rockledge moved to another location in April 2006. My husbond was working in Rockledge at that time, so he got an invitation for me to come to their reopening. He used to drop by their store to buy me something before he came home one week per month. Really sweet of him I think:-)
So I went to The Quilt Place and bought a lot of fabrics, books, patterns and threads. One of the workers in the shop recognized me from previous visit. It was fun.
The Quilt Place is one of the largest full service quilt stores in Central Florida. They also have a wide variety of longarm designs that can be done on your quilt. Thrilling to see these machines in use.
